Hello all,
I have been approached by a few members regarding the shortened Thursday Night racing series.
They would like to see the Thursday Night racing start on Thursday, May 15. It seems other sailors have had the same thought but not discussed it with me directly. Thursday Night racing will start on Thursday, May 15 with the first warning gun at 18:45.
I am trying to get a driver and race officer available for this. If it is not possible, then we will do a rabbit start. There will be a Double Handed division on Thursdays as well.
I’m sure this will cause some inconvenience for some sailors who have switched nights. I do apologize.
I would like to hear from sailors regarding this change. I would also like to hear from those thinking of sailing double handed on either night. Email me directly at rear.commodore@eyc.ca or call me at 416-540-4892.
If any one would like to help out on the committee boat on either night, please contact me, we do need volunteers!
