Webb Chiles had been day sailing his Gannet in the Tonga islands with some sunny and some rainy days but his Yellowbrick transponder has been balking and he may or may not have been able to properly fix the problem.
His last post was mid August and, as he has no other means of communications while under way, it is hard to know whether he is underway or still enjoying the Tonga islands
Gannet’s daily runs since leaving San Diego have now totaled 5200 miles. The remaining distance to the Bay of Islands of New Zealand is 1,100 miles.
